1. Not medical advice

The training programmes, nutrition guidance, and content on this website and provided through our coaching services are for general fitness purposes only. They are not medical advice, and are not a substitute for consultation with a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional. José Fernandes is a certified Personal Trainer (EREPS-registered), not a physician or registered dietitian, and does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical or clinical nutrition advice for any illness, injury, or health condition.

2. Check with your doctor first

Before starting any new exercise or nutrition programme — including our One-to-One, Online Coaching, or any goal-specific programme on this site — you should consult your doctor, particularly if you: are pregnant or postpartum; have a pre-existing injury or medical condition (including cardiovascular, respiratory, joint, or metabolic conditions); take medication that may affect your ability to exercise safely; or have been inactive for an extended period.

3. Assumption of risk

Physical exercise carries an inherent risk of injury, however well-designed the programme or well-supervised the session. By participating in in-person or online training with us, you acknowledge this risk and confirm that you are voluntarily participating with knowledge of the risks involved. You are responsible for telling us about any injury, condition, or limitation before and during training, so the programme can be adapted.

4. No guaranteed results

Results from training and nutrition coaching vary from person to person, depending on factors outside our control — including genetics, consistency, sleep, stress, and adherence to the programme. We do not guarantee specific results, timelines, or outcomes, for weight loss, muscle building, strength gains, or any other goal.

5. Nutrition guidance

Nutrition coaching provided as part of our services is general lifestyle and sports-nutrition guidance built around your training — it is not clinical dietetic treatment for a diagnosed medical or eating-related condition. If you have such a condition, please consult a registered dietitian or your doctor before following any nutrition guidance from us.

6. Online coaching specifically

For online coaching, you are training without a trainer physically present to correct your form in real time. You are responsible for performing exercises within your own ability, stopping if something feels wrong, and seeking medical attention if needed. Progress photos you choose to share are used only for tracking your own progress, per our Privacy Policy.

7. Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you have a health condition you’re unsure about before starting, get in touch before your first session — contact us here.
